Our Programs

At Water Town Swim School, our tailored swimming programs ensure children grow in skill and confidence at their own pace, with engaging, expert-led lessons that make learning fun and rewarding. Here's how our levels are designed:

Level 1: Little Splashers - Ages 4–16 months (with adult participation)

* Class Size: 7:1 ratio with parent

  • Focus:
    Water comfort, basic movement, and early swim reflexes

     

  • Key Skills:
    Introduction to water through fun group songs, tummy time, and grasp reflex practice. Babies will work on holding onto the wall, inching along it, and safely exiting the pool using the “elbow, elbow, tummy, knee” technique.

     

  • Objective:
    Build comfort in water, develop early motor skills, and practice safe pool habits.

Level 2: Tiny Floaters - Ages 17 months – 3 Years (with adult participation)

* Class Size: 7:1 ratio with parent

  • Focus:
    Enhanced water familiarity, basic swim skills, and breath control

     

  • Key Skills:
    Crab-walking along the wall, climbing out of the pool independently, and floating on their back in the sea otter position. Toddlers will practice "Superman" glides, pulling paddles, and kicking while holding onto a barbell.

     

  • Objective:
    Introduce underwater breath control, and help toddlers build confidence with underwater dips and rolling over.

Level 3: Ripple Riders  - Ages 3 – 5 years (with adult participation)

* Class Size: 7:1 ratio with parent

  • Focus:
    Developing foundational swim strokes and independence

     

  • Key Skills:
    Freestyle kicks, floating solo, and swimming a short “Superman” glide. Kids will learn to jump into the water, turn around, and swim back to the wall while building stronger breath control and back-floating skills.

     

  • Objective:
    Encourage independent movement in water, basic stroke techniques, and essential water safety skills.

Level 4:  Wave Makers - Ages 5-7 years (based on skills)

* Class Size: 7:1 ratio with parent

  • Focus:
    Refining freestyle and backstroke, improving stamina

     

  • Key Skills:
    Developing proper stroke techniques, including arm movements and side breathing. Children will also learn to increase their distance and strengthen their endurance.

     

  • Objective:
    Build confidence in swimming independently, enhance breath control, and prepare for advanced techniques.

     

Level 5: Splash Stars (Ages 7–10 years)

* Class Size: 7:1 ratio 

  • Focus:
    Advanced swim techniques, endurance, and competitive skills

     

  • Key Skills:
    Mastering freestyle, backstroke, and breathwork for longer distances. Introduction to diving and competitive-style swimming with a focus on speed and stamina.

     

  • Objective:
    Foster a love for swimming as a sport, improve advanced techniques, and build competitive confidence.

     

Each level at Water Town Swim School ensures your child feels safe, excited, and motivated to progress, nurturing a love for water and essential life skills.
